Do you know your angle of attack? Do you know how important it is to help get the most out of your driver?
Welcome inside the Profectus Golf teaching and club fitting studio in Nashville, TN. Today, I’m going to show you how important knowing you’re attack angle is. And how much your attack angle can affect your potential distance. So I’m going to hit a couple drives here for you, changing the attack angle and we’re gonna see how TrackMan tells us about the potential distance we have in our swing. So first I’m going to hit down on one. You might have a problem with hitting down on it if the ball too far back, If the tee height is maybe a little bit too low or your swing type, usually across the ball will produce this type of attack will. I hit that one pretty hard. We’re gonna see that my negative attack angle tells us that we can hit a maximum of 292. I did a really good job there it 293 yards. We’re gonna see that when we change our attacking angle, and keep the swing speed the my potential goes way up. So on this ball. We’re gonna try to tee it a little bit higher. Moving it maybe little forward in our stance. And change our swing shape a bit more inside out. Which will cause our potential distance to go up considerably. Let’s see what our potential distance is. I don’t know that I achieved it. But the potential should go up. Now I swing 2 degrees up on it. You can see that changing your attack angle. It’s paramount. Having an upward angle attack is paramount to getting the most out of your swing. Not swinging any faster and working out. I just went from hitting down to hitting up and my potential comes up.
